Mixing two materials. Noise node control


Looking for help on how to use noise node in this set up to control dirt edge I created. Not sure if my set up is correct either. Initially it’s an asphalt texture that being mixed with terrain texture. I assumed if I provide coordinate direction and with a help of colour ramp via fac I can push dirt to the very side of geometry. Which seems to be working. Now I want that dirt coming through the grass to appear inconsistent/edgy. Is there a way to do it with noise node?


I think you will find this far more usable and minus the problems with just noise as a factor…


Awesome technic. I know this guys said it’s basic :slight_smile: Still getting used to multiply node groups though.
