If you haven’t been to .org to get the latest Blender,…the new radiosity is a breeze,…the meta shapes are,…hmmmmm PRETTY COOL! here’s my little animated radiosity test:<<edit>> and some meta shapes
Very cool. What was the render time for the animation?

I really like 2.28c, it’s first one since 2.23 that I didn’t uninstall because it performed inadequately. I like your animation, I’ll have to start learning those new features myself.
5-6 mins I think.
the funny thing is…its probably going to be the first one that i do uninstall because it doesnt even want to start up…says it performed an illegal operation (typical windows error).
ok…I must be doing radiosity wrong then…I’m still “Collecting all meshes” starting the calculations, and replacing them, then having to turn on radio in the render buttons, then it takes AGES to calculate, like 2000 passes in the dos promt window…
HUH!!?!
looks sweet BTW.

Whoa…blender in linux is having probs too.
I haven’t had chance to try the new radio system, but with the previous versions it was up to you to press escape to stop the calculations. The longer you left it to calc the lighter the scene became.
Modron, looks v good.
Sonix.
Thanks, and, A25, you don’t have to collect meshes anymore. You don’t even have to touch the radiosity buttons.
