Model B3 'Wassily' chair

I wanted to recreate this well known design to work on my product modelling and studio rendering. There’s something surreal knowing this piece of furniture was originally designed almost 100 years ago, by Marcel Breuer.

The frame was modelled using a mixture of curves and meshes and I’ve tried to show some subtle wear on the leather straps.

For the stitches I experimented with bump maps but in the end modelled them as simple shapes.

Thanks for looking!
