I made a model of a person and there are spots around the mouth that are a different color than the rest of the model, any material I assign comes out nonuniform because of this, has anyone else have this problem, if so how do I fix?

The first part of asking for help fixing something is to supply a link to a blend file that shows the problem. This you haven’t done though I’m confident you will if you need to ask again in the future
Check the face normals, if they are inconsistent recalculate them (Ctrl+N) or flip individual faces (W / flip normals)
