I am relatively new to blender and so far i have had a great time. When I started out in the world of 3d design I was using sketchup. I like sketchup because it is so easy to do basic architectural and layout work.
However the lack of realistic rendering has driven me to blender. So far everything has gone well, with one exception. Sketchup has a really cool library of pre-designed components and you can create and add your own. This is very useful because you don’t have to model every object in the scene
Is it possible to do the same with blender? Create a library of pre-modeled objects, and then use a browser with thumbnails to select one?
Thanks,
