Modeling a bottle neck ring

Hello all,
I would really appreciate some help in how to model a bottle neck ring. I’m not sure its the right name so I’ve added a pic.

The only thing that worked for me was to bevel a round shape around a curve, which I turned around manually. Then used the boolean tool to make one object with the bottleneck. Even if got something approaching of what I wanted the finish was terrible.

Please help with some advice,


try it with the screw modifier
play with the parameters to get right shape.

but need to change shape and size then clean up the inside to get a nice topo.
