Modeling a ship hull

I consider myself a virtual modeler. I’m trying to recreate models – mostly designed for paper modeling – based on prints for paper modelers. I created a couple of old churches and chapels. Now I’m trying something more difficult – ships. My current project is Japanese Hikawa Maru, and I use original plans. I recreated hull profiles - bulkheads – with edges with vertices. Now is time to create ship’s hull. Based on bulkhead vertices I like to create mesh – one or multi. My question is – is this good idea? Maybe I must try different approach? What would be your suggestion. I checked a couple of YouTube hull tutorials but none of them speaks to me. Thank You in Advance

Just use the method that is most convenient for you.

Welcome :tada:

as mentioned here (for a smaller boat)… there are several ways to do it

but you may also look into this older one:

…or you might even watch some tutorials using some other 3D software.

Thank You. It works for me the best

Thanks for links. Will check later
