Modeling an airplane: cockpit problems

I’m having some trouble figuring out how to integrate the cockpit into the rest of the airplane. I’ve got some doubts about the wireframe and I don’t know where to go next. What do you recommend?

Ok ,
before we continue i need you to change 2 things.

see in the attached image . you made a bump for the windows
after applying the mesh we will cut thous vertices so we can add a windows there
so you dont have the make this bump

the problem is that this bump also effecting the rest of axis’s
you look a top view (NUM7) you will that it the bump exists in the left right and the bottom
so ignore this bump

by the way , you can also use a reference image for top view ,will help

to many details , when convert it to a mesh its hard to play with it
remove some details .

go to Edit mode ,
F9 Editing
and change the V values

we can use ,set smooth ,or subserf to make if more round later

When you say ‘ignore the bump’, how mush of it should I shave off? I’m asking because the rear of the cockpit ‘melds’ into rest of the fuselage.

you can keep it that way this is not really matter
as long
is wont effect the shape of the body from top view
(press NUM7 to top view , then you know what i mean)

and don’t forget we are going to delete some verticies
to make a room for the cookpit window
i think the cookpit window should be a different object
