Modeling an apple

Hello:

I need to model several fruits for a scene and this is the first one. The apple skin is a material taken from the Blender texture disc published some years ago (redapple). The body is done with a sub surfed low poly mesh.

This might be more suited for the WIP forum. But, while it’s here…

The apples seem a bit too boxy…it’s not that there’s any sharpness to the overall shape, it’s that you can still see a vague differentiation between each of the 4 sides you used, and a normal apple is consistently curved all the way around.

And the top stem is too thick and looks like it’s not set smooth. A taper might work there if you didn’t use that before for the stem. I do like the bottom stem part, though.
