Modeling for rigging

Hey guys, I’m modeling a character for rigging I have illustrations showing the character in different expressive positions, what I’m wondering is, would it be easier for the rigging process to model the character as is or to use the standard stand up straight, arms out legs out. then rig the character. I’ve already started modeling him in one of his poses should I start over and make it more standard? Thanks

The T-Pose is the standard modeling pose.
I’ve modeled with arms halfway up, and legs out, but then you get issues where you cant bend the arm up that great, or you can’t close the legs.
There’s advantage’s and disadvan.
But again, T-Pose is standard.
