Was just wondering… whats the best way to model hair for a low-poly character?
for use in a game? or animation? Hair on top of head? or Fur on whole body?
Yeah, the character is an animated human ment for a game (I’m not using the blender game engine).
I just would like some hair for he’s head
It depends on what the target audience for your game is and what engine you are using, I think the best way for in-game is to model the hair directly, either extruding flat planes and adding a transparent texture, a bit like this:

I hope you get where I am coming from, and unless you are aiming for a high detailed game, using live particles for hair isn’t too efficient and could slow the performance…
