Modelling a Mylar Balloon

Hi everyone!
I found this tutorial of modelling a mylar balloon in Cinema4D: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHBRxClL_cc&t=190s .

Essentially, I thought I could pull it off by using the cloth simulation and clothing sewing features in blender. However, my balloons are not at all coming out this way, They are more deflated. I can not for the life of me figure out how to proceed. I used collision objects and I’ve I tried this pillow technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZIW73NfXgQ .

Pillow Technique:

Close, but the balloon doesn’t appear as inflated as it should be

Sewing technique:

I would appreciate any help you could offer. Thank you!

Do you have a blend file of this?

Do you, say, need for the balloon to visibly flex in the wind? Because if not – if the balloon is presumed to be tightly inflated – it seems to me that you could make it pretty quickly out of a sphere, using proportional editing to “mash” a few creases around the edge.
