models, meshes nad putting it all together

Hi i have recently returned to Blender and was wondering if i have made a rod for my own back.
I have created a cartoon character of myself and put in an armature but think i may have gone about it the wrong way.
I created the model using seperate meshes for arms, shirt, head, glasses etc. but the tutorials I have been watching created a creature as one mesh. Then added the armature and voila. I was wondering If I should have created my model as one mesh, but think it would be impossible for instances like a hat and a pair of glasses that i added later.

Will this be a problem when i come to deform my model with an armature i created. Do I go about the deformation in a different way? if so whats the best tutorial to watch to get me started. I find it easier to learn by watching videos as i can keep rewinding and learn at my very slow pace LOL.

Any help would be really appreciated to get me to the next step. I am really enjoying the learning experience and hope to be creating my new animated cartoon asap.

why would you recommend no one help me just because i put LOL in my description. NOT very friendly to say the least. I thought this was a community to help each other. I apologise if i offended anyone but being new to blender and this forum i just need some help. Dont think ill be back if thats the attitude.

I told people not to help on this thread because you abandoned your previous thread where help was offered.

What is not friendly is starting a thread, getting advice, and ignoring the advice and starting a new thread.

You can add objects after you have parented the mesh to an armature. You can have a single armature control several objects, or you can join them all together. It depends on the circumstances. Provide some screenshots, or a blend file and specific questions on it and you’ll get a better response. Phrase things matter of factly and avoid any silly texting terms.

OTB. (off to bed)
