modifying a mesh without modifing the uvs ?

is there a way to modify a mesh without modifing the uvs that are allready there ?


add verts without anything selected, adding UVs via ctrl-click should work as long as you don’t unwrap or make a face. Adding when some verts that are part of a UVTex adds those verts to that UVTex.
delete: no, the uv is deleted.
move in space: should not affect UV location.
split and edge: adds UVs if the face was part of a UVTex
