this is the primate ive been working on, i know, it stinks, but i finally figured out how to put hair on it

if anyone has any suggestions on how to make it more realistic please share.
It’s probably me but it looks like you “glued” some eyes on top of the head instead of making eyesockets and put the eyes in them. Or maybe its just the shadow (his right eye especially).
Other then that post a side view.
Cheers
I did make eyes and sockets, but maybe they’re too far forward. I made spheres and uv mapped a modified iris to it and changed the hue but something still isn right.
Yes they are, and are they protruding identically for both eyes?
I’m guessing that monkey eyes, or any other mammal will have eyes similar to human as far as the “eye protrusion” goes anyway. Look at some reference photos or just at your own eys in a mirror.
It would look much better with hair all over the body too. Probably, “faking” it with a texture map will be easier than using curve guide or particles (how did you create the hair ?)

ambiant occlusion helps for a slightly more realistic effect, any chance of a picture of the whole monkey?
Im still experimenting with the body, and I used particles to make the hair on both. I’ll try ambient occlusion.
Not done with the body yet

More of a hip/thigh area would be good. For some reason, it looks too skinny/lanky.

I fixed the face to be more monkey-like
