Monoliths Horizon by millisworlds

Even though they had already seen the huge structures from orbit, they were even more impressive up close. The unusual biome in which these monoliths were constructed made the place seem even more surreal.

First of all, this image is based on the work “Structure of Unknown” by Alex Shin. I love to simply recreate painted images that inspire me in my own style in 3D. It’s an incredibly good exercise to learn new things and face your own weaknesses.

I mean that would be a little to long to tell in detail but I basicly moddled the main elements of the scene than created the trees and started scattering a lot of things and do also a lot of trial and error. Also made a sketch before I started to get a basic composition.
