Im that far in this my new project that i decided to introduce it to you all
Its going to be one badass dirtbike I hope
Body and engine are modelled a bit like my old kawasaki kx’s , but covers and stuff will be my unique design

Keep going. Very nicely detailed
Yeah nice details there, deadend. Keep blendering it.
Thanks Darkskull & Milky, Ill keep on blending with steady speed
Iv started detailing this model now, heres something from this day…
I really struggled with these sprockets and chains, but Im quite satisfied with the result
Oooh, looking real good. Just my kind of detail.
Only thing that stands out to me are the handle bars. They don’t seem wide enough at the moment.
But damn good job with the chain. That’s an excellent job. I’ve rated this 3 stars for now, since it’s not completed. But do a good enough job and it’ll get a 5
Hey thanks UK, Ill check the propotions of the handle bar
this is still in quite early stage and lots to do, and so for Im not so much for rating any WIP projects, but do rate if you want to
I will post the final piece in the finished projects section offcourse but there is still a long way to go …
Then consider my rating a show of appreciation for the effort you are putting in
That I will, thanks
Oh, and i noticed about the handle bar that it might only look too short because of the camera angle, when I look it from another angle it looks fine…
ok, the modelling is just about done and it was quite a job
over 900 000 vertices and so on  well lots and lots of details
C&C welcome as always…
Very well modeled, capturing the complete detail of the model. My only issue is that some of the cowlings look a little thick where they are bolted onto other pieces of the cowling.
Looking forward to seeing a complete scene with this one.
thanks timmeh, now if I only knew wtf a cowling is ???
If you would be kind enough to explain a bit more, sorry for being so stupid but just newer heard of cowling before
Outstanding model.
I am new to blender and am working on a car project and I’m very interested on how you modelled the grill and radiator area. Can you post some wire shots?
Thanks,
thanks nightowl and here are some wires…
I tried to render some subsurfed wires but blender sayed just bye :o so these are without subsurf…
there are some odd spots with these wires but try to get something out of them…
Here are the first material/shader tests… personally i think that the exhaust looks very good
and what do you think, should I add a front fender or leave it as it is? I think it looks quite radical the way it is
Personally, I think you should add the front fender. It seems to have a bit of an empty spot without it.
Wow! great improvement since last time. The model is awsome and the materials seem good aswell. The only thing that is a bit distracting is the background but i understand you’re probably going to change that.
thumbsup
The fender is ofcourse a personal taste matter. I think it looks good as it is but trying it out wouldn’t probably hurt too much

I’m not exactly sure what a cowling is either but i think he means the area i encircled in the attachment.
thanks Paul J for apinnion
and thanks Darkskull, and youre right, the background is defenetly temporary, just grabbed something random there
Oo, and you were right about that handlebar, it was bloody too short after all :o so tweaked that…
I did a small test with fenders, the rear fender is to stay, but I dont know about the front one tho…
I also tweaked those coverings a bit…
Also the front lamp (cool as it is) will fly into woods for the final scene, just because it’ll be something rough (maybe aerial also :p) so that kind of lamps wouldnt keep up, so it will be gone…
c&c welcome and so on
Nice modeling and i am suprised how good it looks with material/shaders
you have cooked in there without image maps, nice job with that too. Some roughness to engine and tiny bit of reflection maybe.
wicked modding.
