Hehe, I started out wanting to make it a clear blade and a black leather hilt, but I ended up texturing it and it became closer to a type of sword in the style of monster hunter, except it’s pretty :eek: .
So why don’t you guess what creature materials it would take to make this baby.
Oh, and it you download the blend file, you’ll see my mesh is very clean. I just used some texture painting along with mapping the texture to its normals, to make it look all scale gripped and crystal bladed. Used AO, and oversampling 11, along with 3 lights, and a shadow only plane as the floor. Now “looks to the distant” to try to create something organic, without screwing it up :o .
