Monument - Neo Tenochtitlan

Monument - Neo Tenochtitlan

Hello guys, my work of the week, around the theme “monument” !

When I thought about monuments, I knew I wanted to “scifi” a piece of ancient architecture.
I really love pre-colombian culture so going for a futuristic Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec Empire, seemed like a fun way to start!
The science-fiction inspiration came mostly from the work of Moebius and Blade Runner obviously

Even though there is still some improvements to be done, I am glad the piece worked out OK in the end, and I managed to represent the atmosphere I had in mind especially regarding lighting.

Assets:
Main pyramid designed for this week.
Background buildings are from Kitbash.
Foreground is a mix up of some modeled geometry, some Ian Huberts Patreon pieces, as well as a 3D scanned character by StevenNovak and a repurposed VW van by ArND.

Having seen many Incan, Mayan and Aztec ruins up close and personal, this kind of architecture fascinates me. One like from me, given willingly!
