I used Icarus to motion track and a phyton script i found to transform it to blender. What it does is transfer the camera motions i do wen i film, into blender. Then i putted an the avi on a plane and parrented it to the camera.
Hi! i used betther camera equipment and made a new film! i’m glad you like what ive done:-)
Yeah i know! I woulda used anything other then i mobile cam if i had it within reatch. Maybe next time il blow the dust of my digital camera with film function. If i get it to work!
Not bad Nokirar, very close. You need like a plane where the table is, to act like a mask. But then you still have to project the table top on to the plane, it’s going to be very tricky. Good Luck!
Yeah prolly wouldn’t be so hard though… just uv map it on a plane… I bought rechargable batteries for my cam with recording function so i hope it works!
instead of UVing the table onto the plane mapped in its place, I would simply render a white matter where the table is, and a keep the rest black. Then in most editing programs if you have the CG and real footage on different tracks, the black and white render can be used as a track matte, or image matte. when this track matte is applied to CG using luma settings all white areas will not show, the stuff supposed to be under the table. the black, will still be ok.
I hope that makes sense, it all sounds rather confusing.
question: When I do tracking, using icarus into blender. I get a decent track, but there is always an annoying jitter, like if icarus wasn’t able to track smoothly. yours seems relitivly smooth, even though the video quality is low. Did you remove the jitter manually in blender (a very annoying process) or do something else?
i left you a little comment, this is so very cool. i haven’t been able to find much about motion tracking in blender, can you give me some more info about how it works? is it a test build of blender, or something you have to fake yourself? i will keep googleing, but so far I haven’t found much.
Yeah, I would use a mask instead of uv mapping the table (way too much work). I would make a simple model of the table, and set the table to white and everything else to black like mattimus said. The composite nodes would be perfect for masking the table.
[quote=nokirar;885126]Sorry for the poor quality of the mobile camera!
