The background is awesome! I’m not too sure about the water. It looks a bit too bright. Not sure if that was intended or not. Good work though.

i think the water is too bright, and too transparent. other than that, its great!

I agree with the water part, but then again you did not intend this one to be realistic, but the color of the water really bothers me. It just jumps on your face at the moment. Steals your attention, whiich is a bad thing because there is nothiing in the sea itself.

But, if you ment the water to steal viewers attention you really should add something in the sea.

The background is just fabulous. I love the coloring of the sky.

I really like these kind of scenes…but that sun looks more like a huge sphere of flaming gass…wich is just 6 miles away instead of a big giant sun ^-^ its bulging a bit too much

[edit]ooh and I loved those rays

very cool! :stuck_out_tongue: only sorta bad part it the water, other than that cool!

This scene would be awesome with more details on the water as well as stuff like cat-tails and what have you around the outside.

nice work

dante

oh wow… I love it. Gonna have to try something like that someday soon…

what the hell is a cat-tail? aside from the obvious of course.

Mountains are nice, and I like the sun too, even if it looks too ‘near’

Water don’t look like water, it look like a thin sheet of transparent material suspended over there

Can I direct you to this?

Stefano

ok ok, i will work on the water.
thx for your replies

Very nice ! I love the volumetric beams !
Water looked more like clouds to me, which is nice in a surreal way.

update
hope you like the water now.

Nice sun! water need improvment though - use stefano’s tutorial.

Actually I liked the first sky better

The ‘nearness’ effect is not due to clouds or ray but by the impression that the sun is in front of the clouds you shoud try to put it behind

For water, I’d bet anyone here is expecting reflections!

Stefano

yup… reflections… That’s the thing water needs. Also the sky was much cooler in the first scene and teh bump map is little too hard in the realistic water scene.

the reflections will not work. :x
so the picture is finished.
