Mountain Spaceport

Dear Blenderartists,

Merry Christmas!

I´m trying to learn Blender for a while now, finally i found time for a bigger Scene.
This Scene was originally intended as a small learning project about uv sculpting (the core of the „ship“) but as i had to take long breaks it soon became a testing ground for alot of stuff i saw in the forums, watched in tutorials or was generally interested in.
Also beeing able to create my own „spaceship scene“ was becoming more and more addictive!
Thanks for all the inspiration to this Forum, especially Michalis also to Gleb Alexandrov, Andrew Price and many others for their quality tutorials! I used and modified some some CC0 stuff from Blendswap, many thanks also for this great possibillity. And last but not least the developers and Ton: thanks so much for making this great tool available to everyone.

Criticism is always welcome, here is my own todo list:

Texturing of the ship is not finished, still some visible seams, no bump map, decal is a placeholder

some more props for the ship with a contrasting material

Hangar needs textures: decals and a little grunge maybe also some cutout people in the distance

the Mountains don´t look realistic, need to redo at least the shader as well as the Tree particle system

more light accents: Front of the ship, airfield, maybe in the distance

best wishes!

Martin

Tests with different lighting:

current state: very little postproduction (contrast + glow)

I would go more to the beginning look and show a bit more from the side to get a better feel of what it looks like. In this case I think less is more becouse of the simple design. I like the shader and the floor.
