Mouse script question... again !

Yo people !

I now would use a mouse script to move the camera
in the next demo of L.O.S.T.
Can I reuse the “walktrough demo” script or is it copyrighted ?
If it is not, HOW must do i proceed to make it realy WORK in my demo ?

Cause I’ve read a lot o posts/pages and I feel it is not so simple.

Why don’t we make a definitive guide/tutorial about this mouse script
for all blender users ?

I once did something with a mouse script that it would be like in a thirdpersonview, but the only problem was that the camera goes trough the walls…
hmm…
but you could use this JD-multi’s script, but it isn’t like mine… cuz it doesn’t have rotationd in y angle… (up)…
here it is:

I would be interested in this as well. There are quite a few variations on the subject (2D, 3D, 1st person, 3rd person, etc.).

In addition, and I hate to sound like a broken record, there are problems with setMousePosition() on the beta 2.25 release for Mac. Mouse control is very sloppy and hard to control because the mouse never gets set back to the center (0,0).

Sooo… I want to learn more about scripting so that I might work around these problems.

Thanks.

oh… and I will post my blend file too… the mouse goes trough the walls tough…

I used this one in a game… I have a very nice character and it’s animated, but had a little trouble with the weapons… ok enough of chatting…

If you’ve tried my demo (posted in this forum) and like the mouse look for it I could make an example blend file.

:o Cool to see my .blend file used by another people, mhh, anyways this file will be used as a source for BR.
