Move objects

Hello. I have these objects, and I want them to move in the same direction at the same time without selecting them all and I don’t want to join 'em.

I want to add Empty and attach it to these cubes, so that later I have to select only Empty in order to move all objects in Empty’s derection. I forgot how to do this. Help.

Select all the objects and set the empty as the active object (or just select it last) and then parent them to the empty (ctrl + P if i remember correctly)
