Moved: Multiple Revolving Lights

I am trying to create something and I’m not sure that Blender is the right program to learn. What I’m trying to do is simulate 3 lights of different size and luminosity revolving at different speeds around a sphere. I want to be able to see where the lights hit the sphere and how they interact on the sphere.

Can Blender do this?

I’ve created a sphere, two lamps and set them revolving around the sphere, it seems to work, but now I don’t know how to ‘scale’ so I can determine size and luminosity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Select one lamp with Right Mouse Button (RMB) and hit F5. Change it from a Lamp to a Spot. Set the SpotSi value (what you call Scale) and the Energy value (what you call Luminosity.
