Movie aspect problem

I did a little animation with simple PAL settings (54:51 aspect ratio) and saved it to TGAs. Now, when I try to save the whole animation put together in sequencer, I get different aspect ratio results with different codecs. FFMEG ignores the AspX/AspY settings? Is there a program just to alter the movie’s aspect ratio?

I think when you reopen blender and import your frames, you need to change your render settings to match the input - the program doesn’t automatically read your frame size and set the output, it squeezes or stretches your frames to fit the set output. That means if you rendered the individual frames at Pal, then you need to reset blender to Pal for using the ffmpeg output from the sequencer.

Oh where, oh where is my Papamurf?.. if he were on right now, you’d have a better answer for this question!!

Frames are rendered 720x576 with aspect ratio of 54:51. That’s ok. When opening the sequencer file, I set resolution to 720x576 and aspect to 4:3. To tell the truth it has no affect, the final .avi will be played by MPlayer with the aspect of 1,5:1 (864x576). That sucks… I recognised that aspect settings only affect mpeg2 format (DVD preset)… Any idea?
