Moving a file from blender to 3d studio max

I am currently working on a game character which is composed of at least 10 different objects (much more when I’m done). Is it possible to export my blend file so that the individual meshes remain seperate elements in 3d studio max? I want to combine them in that program, but it will be a slow process, since I got some baking to do.

Also does blender have a way of squaring off an edge on a uv island? And can you mirror UV’s from a complete, unmirrored object?

Also is there a way of maintaining the different colors assigned in blender per faces and exporting that? Without a uv?

FBX maintains the colors in 3d max.

This is what I meant by squared off uv sides.
