my son has blender and by pressing “shift” and middle mouse button he can move his project around the screen - I have the same program and am unable to do so - I have a wireless logitech mouse - he has a wireless acer mouse - what am I doing wrong
Check your middle mouse button settings, move your mouse to top of scn, when it becomes a double arrow, drag down to reveal area for various settings. Look for view and controls section, middle mouse button. Theres a few other goodies in there…
Does dragging with the middle mouse button do anything? It’s always supposed to do one of pan or rotate and the other with shift.
If not, then the problem might be that you have the middle button set to do something like doubleclick or backflip-and-open-three-copies-of-IE or whatever in the mouse control panel, which should be in the start menu if you’re on windows, or possibly in some special mouse setup program depending on brand.
If it’s set to something other than “middle button”, it probably won’t work with blender.
