Moving view without numpad

Hi Blender friends,

How can I move the view in Blender without using the Numpad? I know most 2D programs give you a ‘hand’ tool where you can drag and drop the view location. Similarly iirc 3D Studio Max has something similar. Haven’t found like this in Blender. I know you can rotate the view using the middle-mouse button, but this still leaves the x,y,z coordinates fixed.

Thank you!!

Pablo.

…and of course MMB.

That SHIFT-MMB is awesome, and so is that SHIFT-SCROLL and CONTROL-SCROLL. I don’t remember seeing them mentioned. Awesome of you to reply. Thank you, Blender friend!! :ba:
