I wanted to make a short story about a cactus… but i just didn´t find a topic… so any suggestion will be apreciated
Also i like a lot the cartoon of El tigre… all the mexican stereotype… so the eyes are like the ones of the cartoon and a little of the style
well… what do you think?
I like your use of light, he looks like he is on a stage ready to tell us a story. As a cartoon character he looks good, silly and maybe drunk. Texture and needles on him are not bad, but they could be improved. Back wall looks good too.
But… (I’ll beat spacetug to the punch on this one) the hat, a focal part of the scene has a poor base material, and the uv stretching on the letters is almost unbearable. You need to lay those out better IMO. Messy is good but that looks s_t_r_e_t_c_h_e_d.
Story Ideas: just for learning, since you seem to be at a learning stage.
Find old jeff foxworthy skits and have him recite “you might be a redneck if” jokes to a drunken crowd.
Have him attempt to sing and dance, we’d all like to see a cactus dance!
Good luck, keep it up, happy blending.
Light is good with one exception, the shadows are missing. Get a nice SOFT shadow going and it will add a lot. Character looks good but without knowing more about him can be tough too critique to far. I would definitely encourage you to continue, it’s a good model to put to work. For story, lots of things you can do, but I would urge caution in applying stereotypes. I’ve seen a lot of good animations and story completely ruined by one stereotyped character. I’m not saying it can’t be done, I’m just urging caution.
