Mtree addon leaves disappearing upon applying geonode mod

Why do the leaves made by the mtree addon disappear when I apply the geometry node modifier? Can someone enlighten me please.

The leaves are INSTANCES, you have to Make Instances Real before applying the modifier.

If there is a make instance real node in the Mtree already, then I don’t know as I don’t use the addon…

Thanks for the reply @RSEhlers but that option is a bit of a problem too it just makes repeats of the tree in 100s in place of the leaves and I realised each of those trees also still have the leaf problem too, after applying the mod/s on them.No worries for now but, would be great if someone finds a solution and posts it here as it will be useful in the future because the creators haven’t seemed to have updated the addon since 2021 I think it was.

If you mean modular tree, there is a more recent version in the link below.

What version of Blender are you using?
I tried to install it all the way back to 2.93 and it won’t activate. In the current version of 4.2.2, it won’t install at all…

OK, got a version to work…

Go to the Leaves Distribution Modifier…
On the end of the nodes…
Add a Realize Instances Node…

Then Apply Modifier.
You have a Tree with leaves…

I used Blender 3.3 and the M-Tree Version from the Steven_Ray Fork….HERE
