Is it possible to have multiple scenes for one .blend file? I would like all my animation to be in one file, and switch scenes via script. That way, I only have to hit the render button once, then go off and do something.
In the User Preferences bar (the one at the top or with the little “i” icon on it) has a pull down that says by default SCE: Scene. I think you can add as many as you want. But I do not think you can actually do anythig in Blender while it is rendering.
sequence editor lets you set up your scenes on the strip, so when you render with “do sequence” you can have all of them render
