Multiple UV maps?

Hello all! This is my first post on this forum; I started using Blender a few weeks ago, and I’m really pleased with the program. However, I’ve run into a problem while UV mapping.

My question is this: is it possible to UV-map multiple images onto a single object, and if so, how? I’d like to UV-map one image to a cube as a color map and UV-map another image to the same cube as a normal map. It seems like it should be a pretty simple task, but I can’t figure out how to do it. UV-mapping itself isn’t a problem for me, so you don’t need to explain all the details of that for me.

Thank you very much in advance!

It is possible to apply multiple images [even on top of each other]

it is however not possible for you to have multiple uv coordinates for a single face…
[however, I don’t think that’s what you want]

instead of hitting texface in the material buttons, add an image texture [your color texture], set the output channels to “col” and the mapping coordinates from “orco” to “uv”. Add another texture for your normal map, mapping coordinates “uv” again, and output to “nor” instead of “col”

Thanks! I indeed tried this before you posted your answer, as it seemed like the most logical answer. For some reason, it didn’t work before, but I’ve got it working now. I think I might have forgotten to “Load Image,” thinking that I didn’t need to since they were already in the UV editor. Thanks for the help! This will come in handy.
