Multiplying with Faces

Hello everyone,

I was just watching Blender Nerd’s tutorial for applying numerous instances of the same object (rivet) on a random surface with numerous planes that have been parented with Faces activated. As I was trying it out, it occoured to me, that mirroring those planes doesn’t make any further instances of the desired object. Is there any back door perhaps?



Mirroring before or after parenting? Couldn’t you mirror materialized result?
