Mushroom house

tried to recreate 2d illustration to practice with some 3d things.

i made low poly model then high poly with fucking zbrush (worst software i ever worked with) and then baked it with marmoset then textured it with substance painter and finally rendered with blender.

maybe not the rightest way to make 3d isometric house illustration but i wanted to try work with such pipeline. and yes, the @plastic.pen illustration was the great concept to work with, thank you)

Beautiful work! You’ve used a rich, deep, color palette that can be really tricky to pull off- you clearly know what you’re doing, the areas of contrast between light/low saturation and dark/high saturation speak clearly to your skill as an artist

oh thanks for such pleasant words) it was really hard work for me and the hardest was to learn new software wich i never used before. what about color its not only my merit, cos i had really cool reference and just tried to recreate it. most tricky thing was playing with lightening. nevertheless i will try my best in future and comments like yours only make me more confident and passioned to learn and work more))

Great work on this!

Hi everyone,

Here is the “Behind the Scenes” article of this whimsical little artwork!

Do check this article written by the artist himself. It describes the process of making the artwork step by step with an insight on making isometric environments in Blender.

Happy Holidays!
