Music video update

I previously posted scenes from my model of an elevator interior with some oddly labelled buttons - thanks to everyone who helped out with my queries at the time. This is part of a music video I’m currently putting together so I’ll post updates on this thread. The lift scene is used as a background for a performance roll. Some interpretative scenes were filmed on bluescreen and take place in an office-like environment so I spent last night making office background assets:

These can be relatively low resolution as they’re always in the background and often out of focus. They’re also things I can throw around when I do the weightlessness scene

The lack of shadows takes out a lot of “realism” from your scene.

Anyways, nice job! A few comments thought:

>I dislike the flor texture, looks kinda unrealistic.
> Why are all the folders with “2007”? You might want to add some texture variation, specially changing the years, to make it more believable.

But keep it up dude! Can’t wait for the final result.

Thanks for your comments: “2007” is the name of the song and is on the folders for a reason. I’ve used three variations on the label (size and angle of font) but probably need to use more variations, also I just noticed I’ve only used one variation for the folders on the shelves - need to vary it a bit more. Shadows and floor textures: good points, will be working on them.

Test of a better floor texture. Ignore the freefall shenanigans in the foreground.

Started modelling the roof of the elevator. Next step: lots of electric cables.

Weightless scene coming together…

Weightless scene coming together… (still with old carpet texture)

Cabling, starting to add in some textures…

Looking good…I just would add some smoothing to those cables.

Textures and lights in place, still adjusting lighting and cable details - also translucency doesn’t seem to work for the white lights along the side. Still getting close to the image/animation I want.
