The idea is that she is being over come by something, some kind of mutation. Not shockingly original I know. I have wanted to make picture like this for a while now. I just took a little while to create. I wan’t keen on the first attempt I made at it. Getting the sculpting and Skin SSS just takes a little fiddling. Originally one side of her face was meant to be far more beautiful, but I just enjoyed making her look ill I guess >:)

The modelling, sculpting and rendering were all done in Blender. The node rendering system is God sent, allows you to tweak the lighting and contrast as you go in a very organic way. Then there was a little bit of gimp and Photoshop to finish, oh and of course for texturing.
It is not perfect but all useful comments are warmly welcomed
