I use this as my avatar, an anime style self-portrait I did. I don;t have a full beard now (didn’t then), only this half one. But what y’alls think of resemblance/style?

i sure value your comments, basse, but this is a finished drawing. I drew it about a year and a half ago at a laudromat waiting for my clothes to dry.
it was drawn from memory, no picture or mirror used. also i feel that the proportions are in keeping with the style, as anime characters seldom are humanly proportionate, per se…

but heh, I have to say, it doesn’t look very anime to me, but hey, I dont especially like anime, so that’s only good thing 
good drawing anyways. much better than doing one from a photo… that way you are not paying attention to the actual look of the object, but instead how you THINK it looks.
