My design of a historically inspired architecture

Hello everyone!

This is my fourth attempt at designing classical architecture. I was not following any particular style just started with raw outline of the walls and went from there. Whole building except two angel sculptures was designed and modelled by me from ground up.

I wanted to make rest of the facades as well but ran out of time  Whole process took something around a week of solid work to complete.

I hope you’ll like it!

I don’t know what to admire more the modeling skills
or the passion to create this whole building.
Anyway, I’m impressed.

I’m not an architect but the style of the roof structure
reminds me of Versailles. Is this a French castle?

Thanks for kind words. The design is definitely inspired by French and Italian architecture but more than anything it was supposed to be an excersize in modeling, general design and composition.

I gathered a referance table with elements that looked intimidating to model but still manageable. Then i outlayed basic walls and started from that. I would say it’s a country mansion with huge garden.

Hmm now that I think about it, garden for this building seems like a good idea for a project

Thanks again, have a great day

I am amazed by details, but also the design. Mainly because it is not symetrical, has interesting details and elements, and mainly I love those imperfections. I would add some dirt also to plaster on the right and left as the whole ground floor elements has it, but it is just jealousy speaking  Great job!

Thanks a lot  i have seen that in the cities that architecture is very varied and some bigger building have few styles in them. They were built so long that base is in one style and dome in another simply because they were built for so long that styles changed. So I wanted to change things up a bit aswell.

The dirt was something on my list aswell but when I work I set up a deadline or I would never finish anything  once i ran out of time I just decided to leave it as it is.

Don’t be jealous, I’ve seen Your portfolio and its great!
