I’d advice you to make it much shorter. Even if it was stuff you’ve made from scratch yourself, the individual scenes aren’t really interesting to see for much more than 5 seconds. Make the viewer rewind to the impressive bits, not yawn because they overstay their welcome:)
Personally I would call this a tutorial reel rather than rookie reel. I think it IS worth showing off stuff produced based on tutorials, but that it should be clearly separated from original work. That’s just my spontaneous two cents, though.
