My_first_Blender_game (Beginner BGE tutorial series)

Great to see that you are keep making new tutorials, great!

@Panhandler, thanks for you feedback. I really appreciate to know your are enjoying it. If you have ideas on how I could improve it don’t be shy to share them.

@ Leonnn, thanks for the input. Glad to see you appreciate the effort.

So hi everyone. It seems I forgot to update this page for a while. Sorry about that. On the bright side, the series is now officially completed. You should now be ready to start creating your own games. ^^

@Guilaume
are there .blend files available for the tutorial series?

ws

I fear that this file is not really usable for 2.6 (it was made before the series under 2.59). I will upload a startup scene and end scene on the first post of this thread.

EDIT : done

I believe the link for 6.5 is incorrect. It points to tutorial 8. I believe this is the correct link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSq0QJ5LqEM&feature=youtu.be

Thanks for the tutorials.

I fixed the website hosting guillame!
I’m going to get the changes made asap!

Oups, fixed, thanks for the notice!

It’s back down again :confused: will be working on it;

Hey Guillaume ! :slight_smile:

Thanks for your tutorials. The BGE has grown so much these last years…

I’ve started to write subtitles in French for them. Parts 1, 1.5 and 2 are completed. I PMd you to get your agreement.

Ciao.

I completed the subtitles for part 2.5.

They can, temporarily, be found at http://blenderj.x10.mx.

Just to note new visitors… we host tutorials here:

It sounds like you’re going to spam links should be just one member wants to build forum: (

I’m confused to what you’re saying!
Anyway, i’m going to update the python series as soon as my webhost fixes itself, during which time the site’s down, and i can’t work on it.

Angus, has Guilliame been on in the 3 months? I miss him! :o

He has been around, but barely. I don’t know where Christiani went though … it was at one point a 3 man initiative. s

How to create a game:

Ya, sorry for my very lack of …presence? Is that a correct sentence in English?^^’
When I finished this series I went on another project for a second series that would included more advanced material(coding) but it turned out to be a lot more complicated for me and then classes took over and now we’re on our demo reel so most of my time goes there… =/

I can’t really say that I’ll be more active in the near future since once my classes are over I’ll have to find a job and I don’t know if I’ll have any time after that… not that I wouldn’t like to spend more time on this great project we had. I’m sorry to say it, but I’ll probably have to quit until undefined time. You still can poke me for advises/questions or other but I don’t think I can take more responsibilities. =/

Aww, dang it. Well you were a great help while you were here so congratulations on 27 thousand video views on your tutorials. Good luck in life and hopefully in ‘an undefined time’ we’ll see you again. :wink: Bye for now, and thank you! :slight_smile:

In the mean time, post here for any ideas? :)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_JtvUNIeG8&list=UUTMetGrkUg4jCo65p8UyT0g&index=1&feature=plcp

In case you didn’t notice my comment, here.

It’s kind of like nilunders weekly tutorial, with Gorans permission, maybe you could do his ‘losers’ or runner ups, as they’d prefer to be called. :wink:
This week I have 0 suggestions, but I’ll be back…
