Hi everyone i am new to the Blender Program. I have been using it for a few weeks , but i have watched my brother (Big_Kahuna) use it for 5 years. After many painful hours i finally convinced him to teach me how to use Blender. Here is my picture that was inspired by my love of 2 subjects Fairies and Egyptian Mythology. Let me Know what you all think.

and the shadows on the right don’t seem to have a source,
but a great start!

not bad for your first project. i am glad that you listened to me and i see a couple of problems with the nor on the cloth texture but it looks great otherwise keep it up and remember have fun.

as phrangkk said, it has a very 2d-ish kinda look, but has a unique style. you could build a whole set of characters with this look and then animate them in 3d.
the shadows look a bit strange, especially near the corners of the pyramid… is it hovering above the ground? maybe by accident 
?
I think the fairy is producing the shadow on the pyramid surface, but then there’s a light source from behind the pyramid too… becauseI can see the shadows of the Eye Of Horus and the Pyramid…haha i thought at first the Eye was a texture mapped onto the pyramid’s surface.
also, the halo is infront of the pyramid… looks a bit werid, but I’m not sure how to correct that in blender (make part of the halo visible, ie. the outer edges, but hide the source behind something), it may not be possible
Looks good for a first attemp. I like the pyramid and the little logo thing by it. But that len flare is quite at the top of the pyramid its off a bit.
not bad, it´s not my style of art, but it is a nice entry to blender
not bad for ur fist, it does look more 2d then 3d but its good overall
