My First blendings

These are my fist two original pieces of work with blender. I made them for a video game I occasionally work on. All the textures were made with Sodipodi and then messed with in gimp.
The first one took the longest to make. I’ve been told that the second alien ship looks like a bed, but in truth I can’t see it

They look alright but what are they

They look good, but on the first one, I think maybe brown is not the right color. I think bluish gray would be good.

Nice work man. You already texture better than me.

they’re definately not spaceships…

AOKman, nice work! it’s definately a good start. but i think you’re using to many verts, use subsurf instead (theres a button called just that in the editbuttons pane). the textures are pretty basic, but i dont want to be to picky as your just starting…

They are space ships. They were for a defender style game so the big yellow one was suppose to be saucery and the top one just kind of flys around and shoots at the yellow on.

Of course at 48x48 pixels you loose most of the details so that is why i used brown so that there would be high contrast.

I was being sarcastic… %|

All the messes or whatever they have subsurf set to 2 and alot of them have a subsurf of 6 or more. It took a LONG time to render when i set the subsurfs higher. :o [/quote]
