my first character: b.o.b

hey everybody

tom here from holland

i’ve been working on this character for a wile and its finaly ‘‘showable’’

it is my first complete character that i’ve created

i’ve got some problems trying to rig ‘b.o.b’, i just can’t get the mechenical rigging right

Looks good, and I think you did a really good job at the rigging, but I think you need to work on the lighting. Try one single sun lamp and add soft shadows.

In the lamp panel, you should see some options about a soft shadow. Set it to about 2 or 3 and about 5 samples. The render time will go up but it should look better and you should be able to see the robot clearer.

Also, put the sun lamp above the robot and to the side of the robot, and point it at the robot.

And you should try and see if you could re-design the eyes so that they become bigger and more obvious. Large eyes in a character show better emotion : ).
