Hope everything is going awesome with everyone! =D
Well, after a couple weeks of tireless work, I finished my demo reel. 100% Blender render. And even composited inside Blender with the sequencer! In short: 95% Blender, 5% Gimp!
You’ve got some really nice stuff there, the scene with the Star trek ship (sorry, forgotten it’s name) is the highlight for me. It looks very professional.
Some of the stuff is professional stuff I’ve done, and put on sale. So far, the hotel lobby has sold… drum roll… ONCE!
Hopefully the reel gets more business. I’ve had a total of two happy clients so far, not counting the person who bought my hotel lobby, because I never heard from them, so I don’t know if they’re happy or not. =)
you have some really nice stuff
I like the train track - nice texturing!
it is nice to see different camera views than the standard 360 turn table for models
however, I think the noise in the camera movement was a little overused in some shots and it made some camera moves to look identical in parts
this is some amazing work! i’ve been following the signal mans shanty but hadn’t seen a lot of your other work, and it’s inspirational. I’m bookmarking this for when i have blender block
You have some very nice work there. There’s not much to criticise at all, I would love to see the train and maybe the other clay models textured to the same standard as the little track segment and also some wire frame shots. On the whole the reel does a pretty good job showing that you have high quality modeling and texturing skills. I have to say also that quality of the rendering you have achieved with the internal renderer is very impressive. Well done.
Amazing, amazing, and again amazing. Love the composition of your scenes, and the flow of the video is very nice. You shouldnt have lingered on the train car so much however, and left yourself more time to explore the outdoor scenes such as the cliff-side space port.
