My First Interior Design

So this is my first attempt at creating an Interior Design in Blender. The Process took over hours of modeling, texture baking, and rendering. Feedback or any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Nice for a first attempts!

As first feedback, the lighting seems strange for me.
Looking at the windows and the cushions facing it, it seems that the light is powerful.
But the rest of the room is rather dark.
Even the light on the wall behind the couch seems not as powerful than it is on the couch.

It’s maybe just in you composition that you push a bit too much the lighted area.

Thank you very much for your honest feedback! I hope my changes are sufficient

BTW, can anyone recommend good tips on Interior Rendering so that it’s not so noisy?

Nice!!!
This is really better.

On the material of the wall in front and on the ceiling, there is reflection as if there is a glass on top of it.
Is it what you expect? If not, increase the roughness of the glossy shader to something between 0.2 - 0.4.

About the noise (fireflies), you’ll find a lot of tips here and there, but here are 2 small tutorials from BlenderGuru :

I decided to return to this project, and I found some really useful tips to rendering this scene with less noise. I hope this is an improvement over the last.

Any other thoughts or feedback?

No no no, the last render was better. You have too much reflection. Or should I say, add some roughness and lower the amount of glossy shader from the mix.
Try getting some textures. Every object has to have some texture, even if it’s noise in the normal map. Try having windows over exposed. If there is sunlight coming through the window, your camera will not be able to see anything through the window.

First thing, textures on the floor. They are most noticeable. Search “hard wood seamless texture”. Go here http://www.vray-materials.de/ and get some floor textures. I know that’s meant for vray, but you can use the textures and set up nodes by yourself. They are not complicated most of the time.

Glass has to have fresnel reflections. Look into that. I think that plastic has them too.
Normal maps on everything.

I hope I helped a bit.
