This is the first model i have ever made and of course its nowhere near finished, it has NO detail and for some reason the side of the bus is black 
(I’m sure is has something to do with the light) but anyway let me know what you think… lol.
yep, it’s the light,
you only have the default lamp in your scene
add a couple more or move it to the same side of the object as the camera
keep going on your model mate
I agree. Moving, or changing the lights will change it. Also changing the view type from solid to shaded, etc. Keep working on it.
