My First Model Ever - Sword

Hello there guys!
So, yesterday I decided to try 3d modelling in Blender for the first time. I wanted to start with something simple, like an object. I saw a blueprint of a sword and I went for it. Today I finished the model and I wanted to ask you for your thoughts on this and for tips on objects, characters or scenes I could make as a beginner.

Thank you.

First model, Nice work

I’m impressed for a first model. One tip would be to use displacement on the handle.

Other than the handle, which could use a bit more detail, like wrapped leather, or the apparent thickness of the blade edge, it’s a well made model. Especially if it’s a first for you.

Thank you for all your replies!
I agree with you. I think the grip part could use some bumpiness.
For the blade, the edges made by merging those vertices to make the sword look more sharp. But I guess that could have used other references besides the blueprint.
For the metal material, I followed a tutorial.

It’s quite good for the first model, come on!
