Hi there,
I’m new with blender. I did my first render in 2 hours and I’m kinda proud of the result, considering it’s my first.

Pretty good. My first render looked like everything was made out of plastic beads. Which would have been good, had I been trying to render plastic beads.
A good start. Welcome!
My first render didn’t look because I didn’t put any light to the scene any way ver nice start and welcome.
p.s loved the drawing (the chest up portrait) the side of the rendering.
Yes the chest drawing on the side kicks ass… It’s not mine
It was made by a friend of mine as a base to create bodypaintings for my up coming live action short movie. Check my home page soon for more info:

And yeah… Thanks for your warm welcome I appreciate.
wow, thats really good for a first render. My first render contained no lights: black screen. Second render: error message, blender crashed. Third render: a sphere, a plane and a light.
Still struggling…
wow, my head almost exploded when entering that site. you have quite bright coloring there… heh.
for a first rendering that is very good picture. mine was cube, or something.
the noise on the helmet is a bit too harsh… I think. try lighter gray. also, try to make the seam of those blue goggles and the rest of the mask little more straight…
.b
Nice first render. Mine was UVsphere or a cube or sumthing.
Well anyway, welcome to Blender world.
mine was a blue sphere with a Lamp onone side :P… lol
someone please tell/explain me what means LOL ?
thanx a lot
nice start! you already started with the texturing…good good…how long have you been using blender for?
it took me a good month to figure out how to do some basic stuff…
