I’m gonna be plain and straight. it’s terrible. but don’t worry, we’re all terrible at first. The modeling is pretty good, the fluid on the inside is good, one of the biggest mistakes though is the glass. change the roughness value to 0 on the glass. and increase the subsurf on the cylinder they are sitting on since I can see visual artifacts from the low poly count and the smooth shading mixing. the liquid could be more transparent but I am no expert on fluids in Blender so I can’t help you there. its a good start.

Thx for the help bud.
Increasing subsurf and decreasing roughness really did helped and even added some transparency to the fluid.
I am following some tutes to further improve the fluid and will upload another thumbnail when m done.
Thx agin…:o

If I was working on this scene, I would add a wood texture to the barrel/table thing, to add a little variety to the scene. Good luck with 3D art, hopefully you will have lots of fun!

If you had a theme, you could reference the subject matter to add more objects and find examples of lighting.

This reminds me of my first scene i ever attempted on my own without tutorials, i was to shy/embarrased to share it with the community back then though. So i appreciate the confidence it takes to post your first work to be viewed by public eyes.

The color of the wine (If thats what it is) is way too bright and saturated! looks more like a thick cherry tizer
You should lower the color value and slightly lower the saturation.
Texturing the barrell and walls will make a big improvement to this scene, as well as rendering it out with more samples, i also recommend using the clamp options in the sampling tab. Setting direct to between 5.00 and 10.00, and the indirect at between 2.50 - 5.00 will help to reduce the firelies (Noise) that appears in the image.

This will help you with rendering the fluid in the glass better (If you haven’t already seen it before) - http://adaptivesamples.com/2013/10/19/fluid-in-a-glass/

Also, try to implement a bit more variety in the scene, nothing major, just maybe a picture hanging on the wall, or possibly a decorative wall hung lamp? i dunno, i’m no interior designer lol…
You would probably benefit from reposting this as a new thread in the “Focused Critiques” section of the forum, you get great feedback in there (Although, it can take a while to actually get it, as less people view that section of the forum).
Explain to them that this is your first scene, so they can give you advice appropriatley according to your level of skill/knowledge of blender

also, heres that terrible first render i was talking about earlier -
We all have to start somewhere

^^^
Even the ones i did share here not long after this weren’t much better lol… but after a few months, i slowly started to improve. And eventually started making Semi-Decent scenes…
I’m still learning something new everyday now after 2 long years!

p.s - Welcome to the forum! i hope you enjoy your stay here and i will be looking forward to watching your future posts to see your progress. It always makes me happy to see someone begin there journey into the CG world! If you ever need any help with anything, feel free to send me a private message and i will help you if i can.

Happy blending
